About Sun Health Clinic

Sun Health Clinic is a doctor-led practice redefining integrative medicine in Sydney. Founded by Dr Veronica Sun and Dr Andrew Sun, the clinic blends Traditional Chinese Medicine with Western medical and advanced laser treatments, offering a holistic model for health, beauty and longevity.

The clinic’s greatest strength was also its biggest communication challenge. The key question: how do you communicate multiple services with clarity, build trust and drive bookings?

Partnering with Sun Health, ReCo developed an evidence-based digital growth strategy and patient acquisition system, then rebuilt the brand, website and content engine to run it. This case study covers both phases of the work.

The brief: clarity, trust and bookings

  • Build trust and clarity around Sun Health’s hybrid medical-wellness positioning

  • Clarify the brand positioning and visual identity

  • Redesign the website for trust, clarity and conversion

  • Optimise digital channels to drive bookings and measurable ROI

  • Establish systems for data collection, testing and iterative growth

  • Build an editable, scalable digital platform ready for growth

01 Patient research: who a multi-service clinic is really speaking to

We began with a deep dive into Sun Health’s audience landscape, analysing existing patients and holistic health and wellness seekers.

While Sun Health serves a broad demographic, the digital strategy prioritised women aged 35+, a group actively investing in preventative health, skin treatments and longevity across different life stages. Additional audiences were reached through partnerships and referral channels.

02 Positioning a doctor-led clinic: East meets West

Working closely with Dr Andrew Sun and clinic manager Angela Zhou, we developed a positioning framework built around three pillars:

  • Doctor-led trust: reinforcing clinical credibility, safety and transparency through the authority of a GP-led practice.

  • East-meets-west integration: combining the depth of Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern medical technology.

  • Results you can feel and see: highlighting tangible improvements across health, skin and body.

03 Brand identity for a medical and wellness practice

We refined Sun Health’s visual identity to balance medical professionalism with holistic warmth. The brand needed to navigate three tensions: medical but warm, holistic but evidence-based, premium but approachable.

The visual system blends signature purple tones with warm neutrals, designed to evoke natural wellness and quiet confidence. A modern sans-serif provides clarity while a refined serif accent introduces warmth and gravitas. Photography prioritises authenticity: real clinic environments, natural lighting and genuine portraiture of treatments, building immediate trust and distancing Sun Health from superficial trends.

04 Health messaging: one defining idea

Sun Health’s voice was reshaped around one defining idea: you deserve safe, doctor-led, personalised health that lasts.

We developed a messaging framework that weaves together science and holistic care, translating complex treatments into clear, benefit-led communication. Every line of copy was written to ensure patients feel informed, reassured and empowered to make decisions.

05 The clinic website as a booking engine

The website was completely reimagined with clarity and conversion at its core: a modular interface that helps visitors understand the integrative approach while guiding them naturally toward booking.

  • Simplified navigation structure

  • Repeated calls to action placed naturally within the reading flow

  • Mobile-first layout optimised for performance

  • Visual illustrations to introduce warmth and personality

  • Structured service explanations to reduce confusion

The site was built in Webflow but now transferred to Framer as the clinic grows. Tracking infrastructure (GTM, Meta Pixel, GA4) is integrated across the site and booking platform to support accurate conversion tracking.

06 The content and data engine behind patient acquisition

To turn strategy into sustainable growth, we built a scalable marketing infrastructure combining content, data and performance marketing:

  • An email list-building system segmenting prospective patients by interest area: skin health, fat reduction, TCM

  • An organic content framework across social media and email

  • Educational video content and messaging scripts fronted by the practitioners, feeding Instagram, paid social, reels, the website and blog

  • Paid campaigns across Meta and Google to test messaging and refine performance

  • Blog content built on SEO and GEO strategy

  • Training the internal team on structured content workflows using ReCo Content AI

07 A continuous learning system for clinic growth

Rather than launching static campaigns, the digital ecosystem was designed as a continuous learning system. With integrated tracking, segmented lead capture and structured content production, Sun Health can continuously analyse patient behaviour, test messaging and refine marketing investment: which treatments generate the strongest demand, which audience segments respond, which creatives convert, and where the website journey can improve.

Project impact

  • Established Sun Health’s first evidence-based digital marketing strategy

  • Repositioned the clinic as a credible, modern leader in integrative wellness

  • A cohesive identity across holistic and aesthetic services, clearly differentiated from beauty franchises

  • A conversion-focused website and scalable content production system

  • A data-driven testing framework for advertising and growth

ReCo continues to support Sun Health in building a doctor-led integrative wellness brand that bridges Eastern and Western medicine while scaling patient acquisition through digital channels.

Key takeaways for health clinic marketing

  1. Positioning drives performance: clarity about the doctor-led integrative identity created the foundation for trust and scalable marketing.

  2. Trust is the conversion lever in health marketing: medical authority and safety messaging outperform price-driven promotion.

  3. The website is a booking engine: design should serve psychology, guiding visitors through a journey that reduces hesitation.

  4. Track data before scaling spend: infrastructure came before advertising, enabling measurable ROI.

  5. Growth is a system: search capture, education, paid social and continuous optimisation compound together.

Health clinic marketing: FAQs

How do you market a health clinic that offers many different services?

Start with positioning, not with the service list. Sun Health Clinic combines Traditional Chinese Medicine, Western medicine and advanced laser treatments, and the breadth that made the clinic valuable also made it hard to explain. We built a three-pillar framework, doctor-led trust, east-meets-west integration, and results you can feel and see, so every service sits under one idea rather than competing for attention. The website then structures each service explanation the same way, which reduces the confusion that stops people booking.

What makes healthcare marketing different from other marketing?

Two things: trust is the conversion lever, and the rules are genuinely strict.

In most categories a discount moves people. In health the patient is weighing risk, so medical authority and transparency outperform promotion. AHPRA prohibits testimonials about clinical care, misleading claims and before-and-after imagery; the TGA restricts how prescription treatments can be referenced.

We treat the constraints as the strategy: you cannot use a patient quote, so the practitioner explains it themselves.

Should a clinic website be built for information or for bookings?

Both, but in sequence. A visitor needs to understand the treatment before they will book it, so the site has to educate first and convert second. Sun Health's site uses a modular structure that explains the integrative approach, then places calls to action naturally inside the reading flow rather than interrupting it, with a mobile-first layout because most patients arrive on a phone. Design serving psychology is what turns a website into a booking engine.

What should a clinic set up before spending money on advertising?

Tracking infrastructure. Without it you are buying traffic you cannot evaluate. We integrated GTM, Meta Pixel and GA4 across both the site and the booking platform before paid campaigns started, so every dollar could be tied to an outcome: which treatments generate demand, which segments respond, which creative converts. Building the measurement first is what makes ROI measurable rather than assumed.

Does content marketing work for medical practices?

It works when the practitioners are in it. Educational content fronted by the clinicians carries authority that agency-written copy cannot, and it feeds every channel at once: Instagram, reels, paid social, the website and the blog. We also built an email system segmenting prospective patients by interest area, skin health, fat reduction and TCM, so the content people receive matches what they came for. The blog is built on SEO and GEO strategy so it earns visibility in search results and in AI-generated answers.

What is GEO and why does it matter for a health clinic?

GEO is generative engine optimisation: structuring content so AI answer engines can parse, trust and cite it, in the same way SEO structures content for search results pages. It matters more in health than in most categories, because people increasingly ask an AI assistant about symptoms, treatments and practitioners before they search. A clinic that has published clear, credible, well-structured explanations of what it does is far more likely to appear in that answer.
